USERS GUIDE FOR VOICE MAIL Please use this guide as a handy reference for accessing your voice mail features.
Accessing Your Subscriber Mailbox
- On Campus (from an extension other than yours)
Please note: staff with 9000 voice mailbox numbers must use the following directions in order to access their mailboxes
- Dial 3111 then press * plus #.
- Enter your mailbox number (your extension).
- Enter your security code and follow the prompts. (The first time you access your mailbox, your security code is 0000).
- On Campus (from your extension).
- Dial 3111.
- Enter your security code and follow the prompts. (The first time you access your mailbox, your security code is 0000).
- Off Campus
- Dial 546-3111 (CallXpress voice mail number) and press # while listening to the message.
- Enter your mailbox number (your extension).
- Enter your security code and follow the prompts. (The first time you access your mailbox, your security code is 0000).
Changing Your Security Code
- Access your mailbox as described above.
- Press 3 to access Phone Manager.
- Press 1 to access the Personal Options menu.
- Press 4 to change your security code.
- When prompted, enter a new security code (four numbers) followed by the # sign.
- Listen to CallXpress repeat the security code that you just entered and follow the prompts to save, delete, or re-do.
Recording Greetings for Your Mailbox
- Press 3 to access Phone Manager.
- Press 1 to access the Personal Options menu.
- Press 3, choose your option, and listen to the prompts.
- After recording your greeting, you can:
- Press 6 to review your greeting.
- Press 4 to discard your greeting and start over.
- When you are satisfied with the recording, press 5 to save it.
- Press * to exit Phone Manager.
Transferring Calls
- Press the transfer button, dial 3111, and wait for voice mail to answer.
- Press the number 9 during the voice mail message, dial the extension you are transferring to and hang up immediately.
PLEASE NOTE: The first time you access your mailbox, i.e., before you have set up your security code and recorded your greeting, your security code will be 0000.
